My father loves Turkish music as well.  I didn't have the chance to learn the language but I wish I did.
 Boncuk do you speak Turkish.

They send a letter when there is a refusal I don't think they send the sponsor a letter of approval of PR Visa..
That's not true, they always send letters no matter what's the decision. I just got my PR and they sent us both letters, one for my husband explaining his responsibilities as a sponsor and one for me about my rights  and responsibilities as a permanent resident.

They send the sponsor a letter for the first stage approval that's when you receive your rights as a sponsor.. she is talking about when a PR decision is made.. When a PR decision is made the APPLICANT receives the details UNLESS the sponsor was made representative.  I have called CIC and this is the way it's done.  It's a different story when the spouse and the applicant live in the same address because obviously both would be sent there!
04102008... you could get your husband to email a case specific enquiry to the visa office to ask the status and perhaps find out before he receives a letter.  Maybe you will get some piece of mind.

I have to agree with Boncuk . CIC told me the same thing. I will only receive a copy of the final decision if I had indicated that I'm representing the applicant otherwise the PR decision will only be sent directly to my husband (applicant).

I really wish people wouldnt argue the issue when things are quite clear.  It just makes the OP confused.  Yes the sponsors receive letters.. at the beginning.. I pray for 04102008 sake that it is good news.. but no sense in giving hope based on something that isn't true.

Boncuk and Marlena,
From what you said, if a PR decision is made, and me the applicant has a representive, who is our lawyer, and whose address is the one we use as our mail address on the application and for all communication with them, he is the one who will get an email or letter about the decision as well as me.
because the first communication we got from Damascus office, was an email to my email address asking for the new document, the lawyer didn't get anything...witch made he made..:)))
By the way, 04102008, sending them an email inquiry might help you getting an answer, it seems that Damascus office are fairly quick in replying to email, they reply to Marlena email in 4 days, they reply to my lawyer email in 12 Hours...:)
So, why don't you give a try, keep your hopes up, we are praying for you.

rorita..  I dont blame your lawyer for being mad.. if he was made the representative for your case he should have received correspondence.. I wonder how that works.. to what extent.. to they send every single correspondence (which I would hope) to the rep?  The fact that he did get mad kinda gives us the answer.  He should have received the letter.
I totally agree about the email.. if it was me I would have mailed them as soon as I got the news of decision made :)

Boncuk
that what made me wonder, should he get all the communication, email...??
he also told us, that he is facing this problem for some time now, the damascus office is connecting the applicant directly either by phone or email
I don't know, too much question but few answers...

Marelena and Boncuk enjoy the weather before you both come to Canada. The weather in Ottawa is not bad but I find still cold in the morning.
BTW it's long weekend :o)Victoria day.
