hi for all i am a new one here...i am from tunisia i get married last april 27 and i with my wife we choice to live togother in cananda toronto...so we send application folder for a PR.i need to know haw much it take to get the PR visa???...haw much it take paris to respond you after they get thr folder from cic???i done my medical test in the last may 24...so do i need to weit long to get the visa???my wife recived the approvel letter for application sponsorship june 15 and they start proccessing my application for PR june 27 and they get my medical result on october sp pls i need to know haw much i need to weit to be there us i hope i can be there before my wife give birth us she is on the 7 month pregancy plzzz some one respond me

According to CIC website, on average Paris takes about 8 Months to process once the file is transfered (from Mississauga to Paris). So you might be done around February/March 2012. However, some files do get finalize faster so wait for others who have gone through Paris and then you will get a better idea on how long it is currently taking. |

ok thnx for your unswer but last moth they send me a folder to finalise my application they ask me for a personnel information like what i do the last 12 years where i live with details so you think that is the last thing in my application and its normal to get a thing like that  |

Have you emailed them and requested that you want to be with your wife when she delivers? May be they will expedite your process if you request them nicely! |

Yes sometimes they do request to fill out more forms if the information is old or missing so don't worry, they will contact you once they are closer to finalizing your application. Have you emailed them and requested that you want to be with your wife when she delivers? May be they will expedite your process if you request them nicely!
It will normally not affect the processing times even if you explain that there is a pregnancy involved. You may be able to apply for a TRV, but again the chances are slim that you will get one, as you will have strong ties in Canada, and not want to return to your home country at the end of the TRV. The fact is, OP did not provide all the background information with the file originally, so therefore there is going to be more of a delay while they wait, for, go through the background information and verify the information for the past 12 years that they had to request. the 8 month timeline is for 80% of cases processed in Paris. |

thnx for replay...so tody i talk to my wife about that if i can send mail to the embassy in paris to tell them there is a pregancy so she send me certfecaite from her doctor tell that she is pregnant and she is close to 8 month so you think i need it like a prove and dus that work to speed my application?

There is no gaurantee, its just a suggestion. I have seen it worked for a few cases but very rarely. Most of the time it didn't work so its up to you to give it a try. However, I think its too late for you now; because it will take more than a month to collect your documents/send them/it will take time to finalize your application/send Passport Request Letter/Issue VISA/send the passport back/book ticket/then landing. You only have little over a month before your wife delivers so I don't really think it will work even if they fast track it. As suggested by the above poster, you can try to get a visit VISA and explain the situation which might work.... |

As soon as your background checks are done they will issue your passport request, so hang in there bro... |

Well, once your application is finialized they will send you a letter requesting your passport for VISA issuance. Once VISA is attached to your passport they will send you a package including your Passport, confirmation of Permanent Resitence document and all the original documents that you may have sent them with your initial application it would also include photos and copies of supporting documents that you sent as well. |
