Plss help seniors.....Cook NOC Code changed.....what to do (6242 or 6322)?

Hi guys i am applying as a cook under federal skilled worker category, but on Jan 31, 2012, they have changed the NOC code of the cook.  I have two questions regarding this....pls pls pls answer me so that i can file my application quickly.

1.  As they have changed the NOC Code for the cook, is the occupation still in the 29 list and do I still qualify?

2.  As the 29 eligible occupations list on cic website still showing cook code as 6242, which NOC code should i put while applying 6242 or 6322?



PLEASE GUYS REPLY ME AS SOON AS POSSIBLE....I WILL APPRECIATE IT.

i would like to share my understanding as you asked to put the old NOC or new one. I have submitted my application with NOC 2011 codes. As for now their website says


Where do I find information about immigration?
Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) uses the NOC 2011 as part of their processing of applications for Skilled Workers and Professionals Program.

If you need help in finding your NOC 2011 code, which you will need in order to complete your immigration application, please Ask Us.


but on the other hand CIC says that they will be considering either in NOC 2006 or NOC 2011 which so ever is benefiting to client.


For applications received on or after January 31, 2012: CIC will assess the occupations of the applicants according to either the NOC 2006 or 2011, whichever of the two NOCs is the most advantageous to the applicant.


so if you have applied with new code then ok but if you have applied with old code even though I hope that it should go through...

I have a question. I want to apply for my brother but in my country. Can u tell me how u will get ur 67 points? My brother has just some.cooking certificate; so he won't get much point for education. Thanks

Hi Shaazdeh, your brother needs at least bachelors degree, because without any education qualification, getting 67 points is really difficult unless he has an arranged employment in Canada.  Still, he can get some points if he is married and his spouse has a bachelor or masters degree.  First ask him get maximum 16 points in IELTS exam.  If he has more than four years experience then he will get maximum points for work experience.

Education --Degree- 22 points

Work experience --21 points

English proficiency--16 points

Age--10 points

 Hi everybody I had a dream and I want to share my dream of today Morning time in my dream I was at CANADA AIRPORT with my Elder bro we were waiting for our landing process to be done officer ask us to wait for while but in the mean time we went outside of Airport to go for Bathroom the weather was amazing when we returned back officer gave my Passport and congratulated us and one funny thing he asked for some money( like we always give in happiness) and I gave him $200 CAD HAHAHA ............after some days my wife arrived with my beautiful daughter......................... IT WAS awesome feeling I want live this situation guys. May GOD BLESS US
