I don't know the procedure in your country, but I have heard others state they made a declaration of the loss at the police station.   Make sure you keep a copy of that paper work. Have you already applied for a new PP?  Can you ask them to expedite the process?  Good Luck.

I do nt know in which country you are but in every country it takes only four week max......it is good suggestion that you should apply and there is also double fee for urgent passport you should apply with urgent fee

Sorry, I don't visit many/most threads -- thus, I missed it -- my bad.
However, here's what I replied to u earlier/elsewhere:

No. U have to present your original pps to the DMP. If the meds come in between, u'd still have 45-90 days time to get it done [as applicable, as per the meds letter]. If the pps do not come by that deadline - u may request your VO to extend it. Relax!

There can be other situation also.

What if the passport(A) on which the application was based got full, no more page left before VO asked for it to issue visa.

The person got a new passport(B) and currently using it but still has the old passport (A).

I guess this can happen in case an applicants travel overseas frequently due to job or business concerns.

How would VO consider this case?
regards
