Hi Guys, I'm new to the site and hope you can help me. The good news is I heard from my Immagration officer today saying I have to go and get my medicals and police forms for my Permanent Landed Residence to Lloydminster  Cheesy  .
But the bad news is they have told me it could take a further 10 months for the process to be completed through the CIC office in London   Sad . Is this right? surely it cannot take this long.......

Also if it does take this long, can I apply for a temporay work permit while I'm waiting for my PLR to come through?

Thanks in Advance

it could take more than 10 months , it happened to me personally.
i did my medicals twice due to the fact that the first medicals expired( they are only good for one year )so they requested a second medicals exams for me and my family wasted time and moneyso do not make any plans till you get your passports back with visa stamp.....................................be patient
