Please suggest

Hello everyone,
                     I have a question for all the seniors and fresh applicants.   I received my file number from buffalo in december 2010.  I have not received any other mail or any letter regarding my PR from them till date.  That's fine with me for now... I am in canada pursuing higher education and my wife is working here.   At the time of my application she was not having any permanent job.  After applying for PR, our work permits and my study permits were renewed.  My wife got a permanent job in a good company now.  So,  Should I contact the buffalo office and send the copies of documents indicating the  changes in our status, like renewed work permit and study permit as well as employment letter of my wife or should we just wait for the medicals to come on their own time.   
please suggest.

Dear..as a thumb rule, if there are changes from the last declared status, must be shared with CHC on priority basis.
