hello guys,

If you receive a passport request from your visa office does that mean an interview will not be needed?

Is there any way they can call you for an interview after they have requested your passport?

The passport request normally states that they are in a position to request your passport for visa issuance. If they request your passport for that purpose then no, they would not be requesting an interview. Instead they would take your passport, insert the visa that shows you've been approved and can officially land as a permanent resident in Canada.

Make sure to double check the language of why they're requesting your passport.

Yes, if visa office require you a passport from you then it means your case ready for visa issuance then there will be no need of interview.

That's not correct. Some visa offices (e.g. Manila) request the passport very early in the process (well before they are ready to issue the visa). For this reason a passport request is not a guarantee that no interview will be required.

When passport request most case is no interview and mean time process most of the end.
Only they ask for  interview if they do BW review.  You can wait for Visa Stamp.

It depends on the embassy and the process they're following. Some embassies request the passport right at the beginning without even haven't looked into the file. This is no indication whether a decision has been made or not. It's just a part of the process.
