MY FINGERPRINTS WERE ACCEPTED!!!!!! After 8 months of waiting and 2 rejected prints... I can't even believe it. I cried on and off all day today with tears of joy for the first time. I can finally mail out the application that should have been approved already it's been so long. Thank you for all of you who've prayed and kept your fingers crossed for me.  YAY! I am so happy for you!!!!!! Can I uncross my fingers few a bit? They are a tad sore....hehe....will recross them for others waiting, I promise. |

nyssa, That is good news. I'm happy for you. Though it looks I like I have another 3+3+3+ months waiting.... I just called the FBI customer service line, and was told they can not find any record of receiving my second set of prints, sent three months ago.....  I gave them the tracking number and my phone number they said they will call tomorrow. This is all very sad as its been nearly 8 months of waiting and waiting and waiting for the FBI report just so that I can file for PR. I originally sent my first set of print first of December 2009...... And now it looks like lots more waiting. |

Just checked my credit card again - still no charge for the clearance. I'm wracking my brain trying to remember exactly when I mailed the request - by regular mail from Canada - but I'm pretty sure it was the last week of May or the first week of June. I'm thinking my appointment to get my prints was on Monday, May 24 . . . I know it was a Monday, and at the end of May and I'm pretty sure it was before my birthday - which was the 29th. So I probably mailed the request that week - but it might have been the first week of June. So, allowing a week for mailing, seven weeks should be next week. If it's true that only people with "re-do"s are getting 7 weeks, then I'll probably wait until at least mid-August for anything. At least it's coming up. I'm kinda glad I didn't realize going in that it would take so long - it was 3 weeks turn around when I had them done the first time - although I would have gotten busy and gotten my prints weeks earlier if I'd known it was taking this long.
Glad at least some of you are seeing results - still hoping my prints will be okay as they were not done on card stock! Guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens. I wish the guy had just done mine on the FBI card stock I took with me. Grrrrr.

I got mine in 7 weeks and 4 days on my first request.
Give it another week, if you sent it via snail mail it may not have gotten there as quick as you had hoped either.

Sogwap, I dont' think you should wait for your FBI to send in application, just simply write a note/letter advising you've requested it (along with the copies of your cover letter/prints/registered receipt/etc.) and once they get to that part (usually verification of docs) they'll ask for it. Also write in the note that you will send it in upon receipt of it. Honestly, it's gonna take awhile for them to get to your application anyways, so you might as well start the process, especially if you have everything else. Im sponsoring my hubby outland and we didnt have our FBI so I sent in the applications anyways, I got approved in no time, his file was sent to the office handling his country, he got an interview and we're still waiting for his FBI.
