I had my first prints rejected back in June after waiting 13 weeks.
I mailed my second request June 28, 2010 and it was received on July 9, 2010.
Today I picked up my "No Arrest Record" from Fedex on August 13, 2010.

On the clearance though it says:
RECEIVED:  06/28/10
RETURNED: 08/06/10
NO ARREST RECORD - FBI

The letter was dated on 08/09/2010 and it crossed the border on August 11, 2010.
I am very happy with the quick turnaround especially based on my first request timeline. By the looks of things they process based on when you originally mailed the request not when it was received by them.
I went to Commissionaires so I would suggest going to them if the local police doesn't help. I also suggest that you use Fedex for your return. They provided fast timing.

I just have one question, what date do I count from for the "3 month expiry" rule?
Also, I mailed my application off to Vegreville without my clearance, when should I send it to them and how?

congrats love. i received my hubby's clearance in the mail today...waiting to go home to open it

as for sending in your clearance, (assuming you're doing yours inland) i suggest you call them and ask for your file number, then once u got the file number, send it in. without the file number it may get lost in the mix. good luck.

congrtas i mailed mines around july 6 but not able to look it up in their system hopefully by septmber they will be able to ...

im not sure which date but i would think the one that says returned on it...

It's official - I am now logging in on a daily basis to check the transaction history on my credit card to see if it's been charged for the FBI clearance.  This is like obsessively logging into eCAS used to be . . . . 

Results!  Sent my request around the first week of June - credit card was charged on August 14.  Hopefully I will see my clearance soon - still a bit concerned that the RCMP prints won't fly.

Hey Folks,
My wife just received FBI Record (No Record of Criminal) from FBI CJIS Division, West Virginia, U.S.A. We did not have opportunity to attach FBI Record with our sponsorship application. My wife, sponsorship has approved and file already transferred to New Delhi, India for PR processing.

My query to our thread members, Is it in our best interest to courier my wife FBI Record to New Delhi, India? Any comment on is greatly appreciate.

FBI record applied FBI on June 14, 2010 and received August 13, 2010.

It may be out of date by the time they request it. Check your country specific instructions or contact the visa office and ask their advice. Do you have a Client Id number? If so you might also consider just sending it with all relevant applicant and sponsor info included (names, addresses, DOBs, etc) using a confirmed delivery courier.

So My Credit Card which I used as mode of payment got charged few hours ago! I'm so happy!

My FBI app. timeline:

App. sent from Delhi, India:  June 25th 2010
App. received by FBI:  July 6th 2010
Credit Card Charged:  Aug 18th 2010

Hopefully I will receive it in 2 weeks time in Delhi by snail mail! Good Luck all!

This may seem super obvious, but make sure the credit card you put on the application isn't set to expire in the next 12 weeks.  Otherwise, it may take them 13 weeks just to let you know that they needa  new expiry, but oh no they don't take that information over the phone, they will send a letter to that effect. 

lol silverbee thats the reason i didnt do the CC knowing me ill lose it and itll delay the process! i did a money order

 @ xyrus the fbi got mine around the same time as u i hope my money order gets cashed soon too!! i wonder if yours is quicker bc its in Delhi hmmm

This time around, I never thought it would take up to 3 months instead of 3 weeks! *sigh*... Hope u receive it soon!! At least your certificate will arrive sooner than mine...it'll take about 2-3 weeks for me to receive it by snail mail!

wow 3 weekS! this is my second one as well.. but i think u might have gotten it because of the country... lol  @  the snail mail i think u could have mailed in a prepaid envelope to reach u faster but i am not sure how that works for mail being sent to india.
