Hi,

I applied in buffalo last 2004 and got a letter that my application was trasnferred to Canadian Consulate in NY, and today I received a mail from the consulate that the interview is waived and that i have to submit police clearance and medicals and that I have to provide within 90 days.

Here is the thing, I got married last month and need to change my marital status and need to include my wife on my application. My wife is still in the Phil. and will join me here in US since I'm in H1-B visa. She is expected to be here by March or April.

My question is, can I already include her now on my application or I have to wait for her arrival in the US ? Is there any problem with this scenario ?

Please let me know if there is some issues since she is still in PH ?

Please reply anybody knows this kind of scenario.

You better include her now, she will have to complete her separate application, and get the criminal record checks for the countries where she has resided for more than 6 months.  See: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/police-cert/asia-pacific/philippines.html  for the philippines.  You will have to update your application as well.  Its just going to cause delay as the background has to be done on your spouse .

PMM just to ask again......

So, there is no problem for me to include her eventhough she is still in the Phil. ?

and I can include her now in my existing application here in NY.

that is the one thing I really wanted to make sure not to jeopardize the application.

Please reply and thanks PMM !!!

Inform Buffalo now that you have married, give them her name, maiden name, DOB and state that you will follow up with amended application and her application with police certificates.

PMM my application was transferred to New York, New York embassy!
Is there forms that I need to fill up ? I already sent a mail the other day stating the change of civil status and I got married, but I don't have her name and information on my letter ?

Please let me know the next step I can do ? should I wait for their reply or can I send another mail stating the info you mentioned in writing ?

Thanks PMM ! such a great help !

Wait for their reply, but you might as well start ammending your application and inform your wife to get her criminal records check from the Philippines and start completing her application.

Do you need the points?  Have her get the transcripts it won't hurt, but if you have been requested to have meds, then you have passed the point threshold.
