Hi,

I appreciate if someone answers my question. Imagine your CEC application is transferred to Ottawa and you receive your file number and medical from Ottawa.
I know Ottawa processes your eligibility but what happens next?

1- Security check is in Ottawa or Buffalo?

2- Police certificate request is from Ottawa or Buffalo? ( For some countries visa office should first send the forms to applicant to be able to apply for that police check)

3- Passport request is from Ottawa or Buffalo?

Thank you
Mari

1.Security check is always done by CPP-O.

2. It should also from CPP-O.

In the latest CEC checklist, they accept applicant submits Police certificate upon request. But they strong advise to submit with entire application to avoid further delays.

You can go to below link to learn more about how CPP-O works.

3. It is from Buffalo VO.

Sorry, I don't understand you question.

Since You applied under PNP, What makes you think you will be considered as CEC?

Hi,

I appreciate if someone answers my question. Imagine your CEC application is transferred to Ottawa and you receive your file number and medical from Ottawa.

2- Police certificate request is from Ottawa or Buffalo? ( For some countries visa office should first send the forms to applicant to be able to apply for that police check)

3- Passport request is from Ottawa or Buffalo?

I have a short answer for you, If your file is transferred to Ottawa than everything will be handled by the office where your file is transferred. It can be CPP-O or it can be any office like Seattle, New york or some others. You must understand the reason they transfer the file is to share workload and in CPP-O's  case, "the pilot project". So, the CPP-O will be handling each and everything and your correspondnce should be to CPP-O but not Buffalo. However by using the new GCMS system Buffalo VO's can share and look up all the progress on your case. GCMS is Global Case Management System which they introduced last year and that's how this CPP-O project came into being.

So, let's just put it this way. Buffalo won't do anything until the Passport request. So, if you have any question or you need to send any requested documents send it  to CPP-O. And it will be outlined in the e-mail request where they nedd you to send it. May be in rare cases Buffalo ask you to send something to them, but it's very unlikely
.

Thank you
Mari
