Let me start with my background document. I submit the papers to sponsor my parents and my brother to cic.gv.ca in 2005. My parents are in Vietnam. In May 2008 they sent my case to Singapore where the High Commission of Canada Embassy is. After 36 months of processing time, in July 2011, they sent me a letter to ask for the tax file of 2005 and 2010 and some update. After we submit what they want, they now ,October 7, have just sent me another letter and ask to complete the GENERIC Form 0008, and Schedule 1, Background of Applicant who are my Parents and my brother. Also they asked for the Criminal Record from Police, 4 passport pictures of each person, and additional family information form.
Would you tell me where I am now? How long do I have to wait for the interview of my family? Thank you very very much

From what you explained above, it seems that the final stage of processing is about reach soon. Until and unless the visa office get the updated forms, photos, PCC etc they will keep the file on hold. After reviewing the submitted documents next stage would be a medical request. After getting the medical report, if everything is fine they will request the passport. however, being the family class application there will not be any rush and hopefully (??) everything can be finished within another 6 months or maximum within one year.
