Hi,
I landed with my wife and son on 21 dec 2010.
Never worked in 2010.
Now, child tax benefit has been stopped and asking for tax return for 2010 to calculate the amount for 2011-2012.
Please help, I am confused whom to contact for filing this tax. Somebody told me that we will hv to file with world income.
And someone told me to send just an application stating zero income for me and my wife.
please advice, whom to contact and where to send.

Both of you have to file tax return with 0 income. While filing CA will fill your date of entry. And in seperate letter you have to confirm your and your wife world income. Now this all process will take time. But don't worry they will calculate and give you for all these periods.

Word of caution!  If you file after april 30th, they will send you a notice of assessment for a late filing penalty.  Even on a zero tax return.

That's not true. I filed after 1 year for my wife for 0 return. There is no penalty. Penalty is there when you have to pay money to CRA and you are  late.

True. I filed zero income after 4 years and there was no penalty.
