Please Help!!!.... How to bring Spouse??

Hi there,

I came to Canada in 2004 on a study permit and following the completion of my Graduate program, secured a job under the 2 year Post graduate Program. I am thus currently on the 2nd leg of my work permit valid till August 2008. I have also applied for my Canadian Permanent residency which has been in process since mid 2005.

I recently got married and my wife is yet to join me here in Canada. I have also added her to my application for Permanent Residency. My wife's 2 attempts to secure a TRV in the middle east have failed. I am currently set to renew my TRV at Detroit to extend it till the validity of my work permit. Is it possible to add my spouse and apply for a TRV for her as a co-applicant even though she is not in Canada? would this be an advisable move? Kindly please advice.
