I am a French citizen and aware that I do not need a visa for a holiday in Canada. But 17 years ago I was deported from the USA and wondering if it will affect my entry in Canada next month for my holiday. I have  travelled the world since without any problem but Canada being so close to the States I really wod like to know. Thanks for ur help .

Probably not have any effect on your entry into Canada, the deportation having happened 17 years ago.
