Hello seniors,
I am in the process of gathering all required documents to submit my application after the immigration review July 2011.
Kindly help me with below questions?

1. Any guess on NOC 3215 (Medical Radiation Technology) will be in demand list for 2011 – 2012?
2. Is there any tentative date given by CIC to release NOC demand list for 2011 – 2012?
3. How many sets of graduation\PG transcripts are required by CIC?

4. Birth certificate is not available for me and my wife and even the birth was not registered, now it`s a long process and will take at least 7 months to get it done.
What are the other certificates can be accepted by CIC in lieu of Birth certificate?

1. No one can give you a confirmed information about any NOC. Wait for the list.
2. It has to be before on on 1st July.
3. You only need one set for the transcripts.
4. You can provide your school certificate if it has your birth date on it. In India it is accepted all across. You can write a covering letter to VO in this regards

Thank you new_2_canada for your time and  help...

1. Can I submitt PCC from regional passport office which is at my native place(India)? but I have been  staying at different city (India) from last 4 years?
2. Can I withdraw my funds from account once I got Visa? or should I maintain them till I reach & get a job?

3. Should I pick same job (NOC 3215) for which I got visa, once I land in Canada? example: If I don`t get job in NOC 3215 for long time then can I choose any other job?

4. And picking a different job other then 3215 wont be an issue for my PR/Citizenship?

You need not submit PCC in the initial stage. But if you can managae than its well and good. You can go to your passport office or local police station and ask for it.

2. Can I withdraw my funds from account once I got Visa? or should I maintain them till I reach & get a job?
I am not very sure about it but you need to show proof of funds once you land in Canada. Its better if you maintian the balance but not mandatory. And you will need the money once you land..

3. Should I pick same job (NOC 3215) for which I got visa, once I land in Canada? example: If I don`t get job in NOC 3215 for long time then can I choose any other job?
You can take any job once you land. Not to mention that medical professions are regulated so you'll need license to get the job

4. And picking a different job other then 3215 wont be an issue for my PR/Citizenship?
No issues as per current rules.

It's a risky thing to do.
VO's are not stupid. Along with your e.g. MR (or any other stage which comes months after you apply) they could ask for an updated bank status of the past 6 months. So if they see that you put the money, then withdraw and then put them back in for immigration purposes then they will fail you, believing that you don't actually own this money and that you borrowed from others.
The safe way is to keep them (and try maintain the balance) during all your immigration process till you land.

CIC consider School Leaving Certificate as a Birth Certificate.

Ganra10

Date of birth is usually mentioned on all documents of Secondary examination eg, Marksheet, Passing certificate, you may use anyone.

I don't think affidavit from self/parents will be accepted (not sure, as per my logic).

@ Ganra - Am too facing similar issue as you regarding Birth Certificate. I had submitted my 10th Grade marksheet and Birth Certificate issued by Indian Embassy, Toronto to CIC, but they sent back the application stating that Birth Certificate is required.

Would like to know whether School Living Certificate would suffice the Birth Certificate as its been mentioned in one of the above post.

Are you the principal applicant when they sent back application? I am also in the same boat as you. I did not find a definite answer so far . Some said yes and some said no. I guess it sometimes depends on the VO office you choose. If its New Delhi, people are more familiar with the situation in that country and chances are positive. In other VOs the chances are unpredictable. My spouse does not have a birth certificate and we are also planning to send -10th class certificate, affidavit from parents & letter issued by Consulate general of India in USA. I hope they will accept as my spouse studied in Canada 5 years ago and so they should have her information in their records anyway. I do not know if I am thinking right but now I have no other way of obtaining a birth certificate for her.

@ Hortons - Yes, am the principal applicant and I agree with you its bit confusing, how they process the cases. Few individuals on this forum, where able to receive positive PER, without submitting their Birth Certificates. I had sent the application to CIO, NS, Canada.

I would be resubmitting my application with a covering letter stating the non availability of Birth Certificates and requesting them to consider Secondary School Certificates Birth Date as proof. Keeping my fingers crossed. All the best.
