Planning to enter Canada from US by road (for landing immigration)

Hello to everyone!!

Just finished my registration to participate in this forum. I have a question on landing Canada as an immigrant by Road, I couldn't get any existing thread on this topic so thought of posting it. May be other can get benefit out of this in future.

I live in Gulf and planning to enter Canada via USA by road (first time entry), possibly travelling with my US citizen family to Canada. I have multiple re-entry visa for USA.

I would like to know if somebody has gone through same experience earlier or at least have any information on landing ports by Road in Canada. I would be travelling from California and intended to go to Vancouver.

Experiences gained through other mean of transports for entering into Canada e.g. Metro, See etc are also welcome.
