Thanks zulkfal ...for quick and elaborative reply ..+1 from my side

can u plz tell me what are the chances of getting  research positions there.....Can u share in which field u r doing PhD....
Do you advice me to get my credentials evaluated there?

tc

Well as PhD student in Economics, my career will be in research in finance or public policy etc. People who joined with me for a MA last year with PR on their passport or Canadian national all working in industry as economist or research officers with min $48,000. Research position or other jobs are not very tough to get. The main problem here is employer want some thing Canadian on your CV.

Please don't expect me to answer if your post title has urgent in it and it is not really urgent. Urgent is 911 or you have a definite deadline tomorrow, not that you would like to send in the application soon

Do you know how well a postdoc pays? If i dont get a job in my home country, perhaps i should consider a post doc in Canada.

i will find out my PhD faith by next Thursday if am through my comps and become full PhD candidate then i think if I got PR by the end of PhD I will try to find industry job in Canada, as Post docs are not paid well. Because I know as a Prof. in Pakistan with foreign PhD I can earn reputable earning I may not do lower paying job and stay away from my brother and sister with this PhD if I find a teaching job in Pak I leave. BTW I am trying now may be next winter or spring or both I will spend with State Bank of Pakistan (depends upon my PR process).

Hi all,

I have completed my medical examination this morning and sent RPRF today as well. I was wondering if there is anyone in this group planning to pursue PhD in Saskatchewan, British Columbia, Manitoba or any other province. If someone is in the pursuit of applying for MS/PhD, please post a message. Would love to share few important details.
I am planning for a PhD in Management discipline. I hold an MBA from United Kingdom. No GRE/GMAT. TOEFLE above 100 iBT. Publications are in pipe line. Need your advice on choosing province and universities with greatest possibility of getting funds.

Thank you
