Yes. They will send an acknowledgment email. I received mine almost 3 months after my file was received.
You may contact them if your time since application received has exceeded 6 weeks.
 

Can I ask to you guys who are ahead of us  ....As soon as the CIC receive our documents do they send an acknowledgement email that they already received your application docs under PR & FSW category? Because in my case I've sent my application NOC 3152 last Sept. 7 and it reached halifax on Sept. 13.....but until now I never receive any email from them, its already December 7.....almost 3 months na   . Is it an indicator that my application was send back?

Pls. anybody could comment or help ease my anxiety....thank you.

Mas ok kung isasama mo na dahil may good chance na hindi na 'to hingin kapag nasa stage ka na ng MR especially now na mabilis ang processing ng MI-3. Kaya lang naman marami ang 'di nakapag include ng NBI clearance last July dahil sa nagpalit ng system ang NBI that time at matagal bago ma isyuhan, marami ang nagmamadali para sa CAP.

boozer whats the status of ur ecas? sis chebheng has an additional ecas line daw na started processing application last dec 1..dba magka timeline kayo..sana soon makarinig narin tayo ng any news kahit additional line .................................

helo ngayon lang ako nagawi sa forum,same pa din walang nagbago,just 1 lyn, we received ur application july 18 ganun lang,now im beggining to worry,kasi im only 24,baka sabihin nla masyado akong bata,even on my pic halatang mukha pa akong young hehe

ma delcare mo namn yan sa 10 years latest history ng life mo yan pag take mo ng MA degree. i think wala namn problema don lagay ka ng reason kung bakit di mo natapos... pero sa pag gain ng points sa education  i think it's not possible kasi di mo naman sya natapos...

pareho tayo single.ka 25 ko lang din last October. LOL.. pagka grad nag take kasi agad ako ng board exam at nag work agad sa govt hospital (un congressman kasi samin., friend ng tito ko na mayor kaya nakapasok ako agad as contractual saka naging permanent)..
16 points ako sa IELTS..kung ikaw din naka 16 tapos may relatives ka pa sa canada (+ 5 points) tapos may work exp ka..tama naman un magiging result ng points mo at maabut mo un minimum points.
how many yrs ba work exp mo? and saan ka work?

hello po sa lahat.. may gusto po sana ako itanong at malinawan... ito ang tanong ko, kung spouse ka po ng pricipal applicant at included ka sa application kailangan din po ba na mag fill up ng separate application form or yon lang sa backgrouand declaration form and yong the rest sa pricipal applicants na? na confuse kasi ako don sa sinabi sa guidlines na kung sino mag complete non mga forms nakalagay don na must completed by pricipal applicants spouse dependent.

Di pa po ako nagkaka PPR pero I just wanna ask if CEM called you to verify your medical exams? Nagulat kasi ako tumawag kanina sa akin and they were asking me to verify if I have received their medical request and asked for the tests that I have been subjected. Nakita ko kasi sa timeline mo nauna ka ng two days sa pagpapamedical. Kinakabahan lang ako sa pagtawag nila. Hindi ko alam kung unusual and if I should expect additional exams that I should undergo.
