My wife and I are putting the finishing touches on her PR Application and hope send it off Monday. My question is how many of those passport photos do we need to include, and where do we attach them to? Do we include some of me as well? I am Canadian and living in Canada.  Also off topic question, but I have printed off those checklists from the website do we include those as well?

Thanks

Yes, check off the things you have on the checklist, write N/A besides the things not included or not needed and include it with you packkage. As for the number of phots it is dependant on what country you are from. It is listed in the application for the region you are from (I am assuming this is an outland app). For example, I am sponsoring my husband from India, I believe the number of photos to go with the app was 6 in that area. 5 others went to the doctor who did the application. You do not attach them anywhere, they go in a small envelopp and in with your application. Finally, you only include these immigration photos for the person you are sponsoring, not your own.

Yes it is outland, thru Buffalo..So let's say they require 8, and the Doc takes 5 we only include 3 in her application right?

It would be a total of 13. 8 that would go with your application to CPC-M then onto Buff, and 5 that go to the doctor, not in with your application.

Just to add sorry, I think in the region specific for US, you need 4 pictures to go to CPC-M and then additional 5 that go the DMP for medical. If someone knows differently they can correct this.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I found this useful this morning myself and found two things to add:

1. for "outland" applications, the "country-specific instructions" state clearly how many photos you need to send with the application. As noted above, that's a number *in addition to* whatever the doctor requires. In our case (Tokyo visa office handling our application), we needed:
+ 9 photos of the applicant to send with the form
+ 3 photos of the applicant to give to the doctor

It also appears that we need:
+ 9 photos of the sponsor
+ 9 photos of every child

2. I was happily surprised to find that the staff at the Canadian photography chain "Black's" have instructions on preparing files for a variety of things including PR applications. Black's isn't cheap but we got everything sorted in ~45 minutes and they did a great job with the pics, and even got the three year old to co-operate.

Hope this helps someone.

As you rightly point out Black's do know what they are doing - Price is usually the issue.
Most independent photographers in Canada can do a good job when given the photo specifications, usually at a better price.

Maybe Black's win on the deal with the three year old Smiley
