hi all,

need some help and guidance. Is there any effect on immigration process if a dependent child (5 year age) is physically or mentally disabled. Kid is completely dependent on parent, will have some effect.. like its a life time responsibility.

thanks.

Dear Bilal,

A short answer to your question is, Unfortunately Yes. However, if you can share with me what kind of disability is this, genetic, mental, physical, I might be in a better position to anser you. I am also a father of DS child and have applied for the immigration. If you can share more details, I will be happy to give any input that i can.

thanks man for your quick response.

She is microcaphelic CP child. In short, her mental age is few months. She cannot speak and cannot see and can only hear. She is totally on bed and is taken care by her mother and myself.

We can only give her liquid diet and she cannot swallow. She is my eldest daughter. From doctor perspective she will remain like this. Rest GOD knows Sad

Dear Sir,

First I wish and pray for your daughter for better health and all ajr and reward to you both as parents, May Allah accept this, Ameen. I am not  a lawyer, I am not a consultant; my opinion is only an opinion of a person who has done some random research on the net and in view of this, I think it might be difficult. However, i would suggest you to check this in detail yourself in the " Medical Inadmissability" section of the CHC website. Again Sir, I am not discouarging you, as a father of a special needs child myself, just sharing with you what i think might be the result, it is only a guess.

In the end, please accept my best ishes to you both and lots and lots of prayers and love to your daughter.

Salaam.

Hi,

Recently we had a premature baby. He is in hospital from past 1 month and need be there for 2 more months. I am waiting for the medicals request from CIC. I am worrying that my baby will fail medical tests because of the weight, height or prematurity . Does any one have idea?

Thanks.

Hello,

First I wish you baby the best. Second, is her/his only issue low height/weight? Because being born prematurely is not a disability. I know quite a few people born prematurely and still lead a very healthy sucessful life. If the baby does not have ( and I sincrely wish she/he doesnt) any caridac issues, genetic disorders, then I dont think you should worry a lot.

Best Wishes,

A person who takes care of mentally challenged child need not visit any temple/church/mosque.God is always with him.
Bilal unfortunately CP child makes an applicant ineligible for PR.
