How much picky are the visa guys regarding the photo specs?

For the visa application, I sent in pictures with a broad smile. Hope they don't return it! i worked hard to get here

According to the specs,
""The face must be square to the camera with a neutral expression, neither frowning nor smiling, with the mouth closed""

VO are quite particular about pics, hope and pray they request you for new ones because i feel that they wont accept smiling pics.
