Phone number wrong on validated form

So I realized we typed the wrong phone number on IMM008 the one that needs to be validated.

Can we just pen ink the the proper number there?

We're about to apply anyday now but the problem is that she is now in The Philippines and I'm in Canada so if we retype it, it means she would have to resign it and send it and so on.

My worry is the validation barcodes, for example if we just write the proper number but the barcodes produce the old number in their system. Not sure how it all works

In such a situation, if I do that,  I will send a change of telephone number later to the visa office after getting file number.
