Hi there
PLs help me out.
I applied for canada PR visa 17th september 2011. When shall i get visa file number. how long it takes ?
My wife is main applicant. She has applied as a Pharmacist. She has done D.pharm + B.Pharm + 5 years experience in Same firm.
She got 7 Speaking + 7.5 listening + 6.5 writing + 7 Reading
pls someone help me out.

My application was received by Glen on 01/11/2011.From the posts this seems critical possibilty that cap reach.Still hoping for the best anyways.Can u give your opinion on same.

hi every body
i find out the statistics and news daily from this forum and i have decided to join
my noc is 3131. cio received my application in 29th of september2011. signed by MIKE. the visa office is damascus. i would be thankful if you could put my data in the list too.
also iam really stressful about the cap. at the time that my appliction received in cio the total application number was 260 for noc3131. and now the number is 402 do you think that the cap was reached b the time i sent my application?

CIC announces the No of the applications received weekly on the basis of the completeness check which requires 7 to 15 days after the submission of the application not on the basis of eligibility review which requires 60 to 90 days. On this forum a no of applicants are worried about cap, I advise them if cap is not reached to 500 after 15 days of your application reached then your application is in cap except two NOCs 1122 and 3152. So my dear you are safe if cap did not reach after 15 days after the submission of your application but you may receive your PER within 90 days.
Read the following statement of the guide about Completeness check and Eligibility Review.
Application for permanent residence: Federal skilled worker class (IMM 7000)
What Happens Next
The table below represents the phases of the assessment and processing.
Phase Description
Completeness check Citizenship and Immigration Canada reviews your application to make sure that:
all required fields in your application forms are complete,
all required documents are submitted from Document Checklist (IMM 5612), and
the correct processing fee payment has been made
If your application is:
incomplete or;
the occupation you are applying under has reached the allowable limit under category 1,
your entire package (including your payment) will be returned to you with a letter explaining why it is being returned.
Eligibility Review An officer will make an final determination of eligibility of your application to determine whether:
your application qualifies for processing under one of the two categories described in the Ministerial Instructions
If your application does not qualify for processing under the Ministerial Instructions you will be sent a letter that:
provides the reason why your application is not eligible for processing
confirms that a refund for the processing fee will be issued
Selection and Admissibility If your application is eligible for processing, your application will be assessed against the following requirements:
minimal requirements
selection factors
sufficient funds
admissibility (criminality, security, medical)
If your score is equal to or greater than the pass mark, your application will be sent to the visa office for further processing.

Hi farrukh
thanks for the post.
I was worried as i was told that i will be in cap only after i receive PER.
My application reached CIO ON 03/11/2011.It seems to me that cap may reach 500 within a week or two
still have hopes that i will be within the cap limit

If number of applications received showing CIC website is consists of only those applications which have received PER (or their pre eligibility review have completed ) then why 500 applicants of NOC 1122 had not received PER till 20 of August because CIC announced cap of 1122 on 20 of August. On the other hand no body of 1122 received PER in August.
