Hello fellow Pharmacists!!  Grin

I need some help, or more like advice.
I recently sent my application under both NOC 2121 and 3131 .. no biggy I am qualified for both, I have a BS in Pharmacy from my native country (Syria) and a Master's in Biochemistry from the US. I picked 2121 as my primary since 3131 was very close to the cap when I was sending my application, and I didn't want to risk it.
My status changed yesterday (June 20, 2011) to RBVO .. so I assume my file is already in Buffalo by now.

I am already approved by The Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada (PEBC) to take the evaluation exam, and I have a letter that they said I could use to get a visitor visa to take the exam that happens as you all know, twice a year.
MY QUESTION: What do I do now? Wait for the entire process to land, or get a visitor Visa (not sure if they will approve it!) and come to Canada to start the equivalency process!? First the "Evaluation exam", then take the class to prepare for the Qualifying Examinations, then take the PART I (MCQ) and PART II (OSCE) to get my license.
If I wait for the immigration process, no one knows how long it will take!

I currently live in Los Angeles, I am a licensed pharmacist in California and I work at a hospital as a clinical pharmacist since 2.5 years. Previously pharmaceutical research scientist for 10 + years.

Dear Forum members,

I am in process since 31 May, my time line is same with Debby, Mitz , Reynold and Mayank. all of them get MR or queries except me. I submitted  my documents through Consultant with mailing address of Toronto. Is it possible my documents, MR/queries , are delay because of postal strike.

Can CHC London respond to my case specific Inquire though I submitted  my documents through Consultant.

Sure, Following instructions, just fill application, tape picture on application, have a notary public with you. Have them stamp the picture. Attach an extra picture with info written on back.
Get all your transcript, licenses, degrees copied and have notary public notarize them, you write a statement on the copy stating it's true and they notarize it for you. Transcript must be sent from school. My parents went to the school, have them put a certified copy of my transcript at the school in a school envelope and they stamped the envelope with seal and mailed it.
Don't forget the fees.

Hi Shah,

I think you are correct . There might be delay boz of strike as well as your VO is still not working in prompt manner as ND VO.

I believe they will reply to you .

Good Luck

Mayank

Hi Nishant,

Well its a hard to say on it. But i advise you to see the 26/6 tracker where you can find it.

Here is the link

https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AiJy8Qu8lcQbdGxiSnNhME5sVi1uRlZtUWNhOEFwemc&hl=ar&authkey=CLDXsFA#gid=0

But i am expecting that with starting of new month , we all hear good news.

Regards,
Mayank

Hi guys ,

I want to inform you on background check by VO.

Can you believe that VO ask applicant Marriage Photos after Medicals & PP submission after 2.5 months.

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/background-checks-explained-t39578.0.html;msg837713#msg837713

So from this case i think until & unless one do not get VISA on passport anything can happen.

Regards.

Dear Moscow
I would suggest to let first complete the immigration process. oly then take exams.
It seems that ur case is positive and you would get PR without difficulty but its always good to be sure and secure.
With best wishes.

Hi Moyrzg .
PCC - Originals but wait till u receive REQUEST from ur VO
Transcript - Originals in a sealed envelope
All other documents - Notarized copies.

Advice u take time to study the Document checklist on the www.cic.gc site and ur Visa Office additional doc checklist. Good Luck and other worries feel free to ask
