Hi

I applied for PR (Skilled Worker) from within Canada and working on an open Post graduation work permit.
If I dont get my PR and my PG work permit expires what do I need to do? As I am working right in my field with highly paid job.
As far as I know PG work permit can not be extended, and to legally stay in Canada and keep working for Canadian employer do I have to have regular Work Permit with HRDC Labour market opinion?

I would really appreciate if some body can advise me on this, as this issue is bleeding me dry.

If you already have job, then its easier. Apply for a workpermit through your employer (from HRSDC), and get your stay extended until you receive your PR.

hi zawan,

could you please share what you did to renew your work permit then?
given the fact that cic has just increased the processing times for cec, i might be in the same position next year where my pgwp might expire before receiving pr.

thanks
