Hello everyone
Well in febuary they asked for my husband passport,police certificate and permenant resident fee, I am in costa rica with him at the moment but before I left canada I left a certified cheque (money order) with my lawyer, Now my question is that supposingly the permenant resident fee has to be paid in canada so if I left with my lawyer does she send it to the missisuaga office or does she send it to the visa office and as well if the permenant resident fee hasnt been recieved does this mean my application is on hold until the money has been recieved, I would greatly appreciate it if some one can help

The fee is paid to CPC-Mississauga, and CPC-M advises the visa office when it is received.

Yes, a delay in making the payment can lengthen the PR process by as much as 2 months, according to CIC.
