My daughter is in canada for more than two years now and with permanent resident visa application which is in process since june 2010. she applied for an extension of her working visa for she's afraid that her permanent visa application result will come later than the expiration for her working visa which is january 27, 2011. she still able to work under implied status for she applied for extension last december 2010. unfortunately, today, march 8, letter from embassy was received by my daughter stating that she cant be issued an extension of her working visa but she can file for restoration. she has her new LMO issued by her employer but its still with HRSDC. she had its file number.

May I know if, if she file for working Visa restoration , can she go back to work immediately while waiting for the result of her application for extension of her working visa under the implied status.

Thank you

Hi

She can work dont worry!I am in the same situation!

Then you are working without permission.  The OP had implied status until she received her response from CIC.  She was refused, so implied status ends.  She can't work until her restoration is approved and she gets a new work permit.

There is never a 100% guarantee / assurance when dealing with immigration.
