Permanent residence of two countries???

Hi, I have just gotten my PRV a few months ago and ready to move to Canada by July.  My question is:  Is it possible for me to obtain PR card for two countries?  I plan to give up the PR card from my origin country only after I became a Canadian citizen three years after.  Thanks for your help!
