Hey to all seniors

please share your experience when you guys have landed at Canadian airport  ? i am sure that it would be great for all the newcomers who are going to enter in Canada soon ?  please share

what papers did u show to pass the immigration ?
please tell if you guys have to show the money to anybody at the time of entry?
how much money did you take with you ?

All you need is your passport showing immigrant visa and your confirmation of permanent residence.

thats about it ?

how about showing the money to the immigration officer at the time of entering Canada ? i mean nothing at all ? just the visa and the document we wil receive from the immigration >?

if yes , then its a great news ?

When i entered canada i was not even asked to show proof of funds even though i had it, just the legal documents were shown,but just to be on the safe side walk with your funds

thanks for the response. how much fund one will be needing to enter Canada ?

when cic send me first PPR last week they also mentioned in that email that my visa will expire on 28oct 2011? it means that i have to enter before this date ? yeah ?
i have sent the required docs this monday so my 2nd step (passport request ) will happen soon as i have only 2months left almost ? i should get ready for this ? yeah ?

what do u say about that ?

hey all

seems like there is no one who has already landed in Canada , is on this forum ? but still if any one can share his/her experience after reaching at the airport and after that , would be so great because people  who are about to move to Canada can get ready mentally and physically . would be a great help.

did u show any funds at the time u landed on the airport ? i am under sinp family category and bit confused about " are they gonna asked for the funds by the time we will land ?

They can ask, make sure you can show the funds.

funds mean the money we mentioned in the application or fund means to carry the money with ourselves just because that we must have some money in our pocket ?

my status has been changed from in process to decision made  on last Wednesday August 31, 2011.
In how much days i can receive passport request 2. pls share ur time line specially the people who already received passport request 2.
