Pending PR application

Hello! My husband and I got here under work permit status while my son is under visitor visa. We have already submitted our application for PR last June in Buffalo. Our work permit expires on April 2011 and we're planning to have a 3wk vacation back home in Jan. Will there be a problem in coming back here? or can we go outside Canada even we have a pending application for PR here?

yup you can go outside canada while your PR is on process...anyway why is your application in buffalo? is it transfered there?

before you take your vacation be sure to have re-entry visa in your passport or you can process it in Canadian Embassy in the country where you're going to.

call the CIC to ask steps on how you can apply for re-entry VIsa

thank you earal! we submitted our application to the CIC ofc in nova scotia and was referred to the buffalo visa ofc. do we need to apply for re-entry visa? me and my husband are holding a work permit while my son is under visitor's visa, all will expire in april 2011. we're going back home in jan for 3weeks only. what do you think?
