PCC to be sending later on (?)

Dear members,

my wife has been staying in Italy for study purposes for almost 6 months (altogether). Since we have all the documents ready to send to the VO, is there any option that I may obtain PCC from Italy later on and send it to the VO (my VO is in Rome, Italy, which maybe would make it easier) later on, not along with the application at first. The problem is that I'm afraid my CAP will be reached very soon and don't want to miss the chance to fall into CAP very soon. Can't wait 10 days (or more) to receive the PCC from Italy.

Please advise, can it be sent later on? My wife is the dependant, I am the principal applicant.

It means you are still not sure about the statements you are making. Please carefully give information to CIC in the application. There is no problem for questions in this forum. , However, there are already answers for the question there.

Now to your new question:

You can send PCC later to VO. Submit a letter together with the application, stating the reason for delayed PCC and make your assurance that the PCC will be submitted to VO.

You are right wilson, but going through question-answers in the forum (I'm new here by the way  ) I came to know that the period of stay in a country isn't just the continuous stay, but it is counted by accumulating all the days, weeks of stay (going bck and forth), something I didn't know before. And in this regard, the entire period of stay goes over 5 months indeed  . That's why I came up with another question about a period of almost 6 months of stay

Hi, albabeu  , it is OK.

You need to send he PCC to VO as soon as you receive the PCC from Italy. Don't forget to put the file number on the covering letter. Please keep in mind,if the PCC is delayed, your file also may be delayed or may be rejected.

At page number # 19 of instruction guide. You will find this;

These documents are to be provided for each country other than Canada, in which you have lived for six consecutive months or longer since reaching the age of 18.
Note: If you or your family members were under 18 years of age (16 years of age in certain jurisdictions) for the entire time you lived in a particular country, you do not need to provide a police certificate for that country.
Before submitting your application to the CIO, you should:
 research the estimated length of time required to obtain police certificates from all of the applicable jurisdictions, and
 gather your police certificates.

We strongly recommend that you submit your police certificates with your application to the CIO. If you are unable to obtain all the necessary police certificates, you may still send your application to the CIO without them. However, please note that if your application is placed into processing you must be ready to submit them to the visa office when requested.

Consult our website for specific and up-to-date information on how to obtain police certificates from any country.
Note: If you are including your police certificates with your application to the CIO, please ensure that your certificates were not issued more than three months earlier. Police certificates are generally valid for 12 months from the date they are issued. However, if a final decision is not made on your application before the expiry of your police certificate, the visa office may request that you provide a new one.
If a certificate is not in English or French, submit both the certificate and the original copy of a translation prepared by an accredited translator.

o photographs,
o fingerprints,
o your addresses and periods of residence in the country or territory.
CIC will also do background checks to determine if there are grounds upon which you and your family members may be inadmissible to Canada.

you got most of the clear answer.
once you apply for that 2 certificato in Roma office, mentioned the address where she stayed and if she have Codice fiscale please write and send 1 copy of Codice fiscale to them.
if you have any query please feel free to ask, I already got this certificato from Italy and sent with application.
total 15days atleast they take, send Bank / demand draft fees in euros as per mentioned in instruction which I sent you.
thats the only forms and one more important issue is italian embassy or consulate never issue you over the world. you must have to send local city or direct central office to Roma.
so, don't ask to your country italian embassy or consulate it's worthless/time consuming to contact them. you will get same reply and even the italian embassy/consulate will send you small text with link of central Roma office, it's in italian language, if someone know then they can download forms (that same I sent you , nothing changes in that).
