Could some help me with PCC process

I am planning to send my documents shortly to CIC.
I am waiting for my PCC's (USA and India).
The present applications received in my NOC category is 478/1000 CAP.
Iam hoping to get my PCC's in another 20-30days.
Should I send the application/documents packet with out PCC's (considering the NOC applications reached so far) or wait till I get my PCC's.
If I send without PCC's what is the process to send them later.
I mean do I need to wait till they request me to send our PCC's or can I send as soon as I receive them to CIC.
If I wait till they request, I am worried that it may cross 3 months validity of PCC's.
Please let me know your suggestions how to proceed.
Thank you

Send your application immediately if only the PCC is pending.

All post 26 June can send their applications without the PCC but you have to send the PCC before your application is put into processing. Apps usually are put in processing in 3-4 months.

So go ahead quickly.

Cheers

Thank you.

Once I get my PCC's, I should send them to CIC within 3-4 months from the date I applied.
I should send them to CIC office in Canada-right?

No, if you don't send your PCCs with your application to the CIO, you wait until the Visa processing office overseas requests them.

You send them once they are ready or the VO asks for them. I prefer you send them once they are ready.

Good luck

Since your VO is Buffalo, this is what it reads in the instruction guide:

"If your application is received at the CIO on or after June 26, 2010, you are strongly encouraged to submit your police certificates with your application to the CIO. If you are unable to obtain all the necessary police certificates, you may still send your application to the CIO without them. However, please note that if your application is placed into processing you must be ready to submit them to the visa office when requested. "

Is it right that if PCC is not send along with application and when VO asks for it at the later stage, a period of 120 days is given to make the submission?

Hello Rana,

I could not find any evidence on the law, procedures or guides about this 120 days. They give you the option not to submit them along with your app if they are not ready, however they have to be ready once the VO requests them. Usually the VO gives applicants 30-45 days to respond to similar requests.

Cheers

Might be depends on your VO specific instructions, you outta go through your VO instruction, my VO is Singapore and even PCC requirements for pre 26 june differ from that of post 26;you should also better check latest CIO's requirements, CIO used to amend the requirements.

POLICE CERTIFICATES AND CLEARANCES

Please consult our Web site at: www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/index.asp for specific and up-to-date information on how to obtain police certificates from any country.

Note: For applications received at the (CIO) prior to June 26, 2010, you must submit police certificates with your complete application and supporting documents to the visa office within the 120 day deadline set out by the CIO.

If your application is received at the CIO on or after June 26, 2010, you are strongly encouraged to submit your police certificates with your application to the CIO. If you are unable to obtain all the necessary police certificates, you may still send your application to the CIO without them. However, please note that if your application is placed into processing you must be ready to submit them to the visa office when requested.

I had a doubt over the real meaning over "However, please note that if your application is placed into processing you must be ready to submit them to the visa office when requested".

Does this means that as soon one gets request from VO, PCC must be instantly submitted? There is no time given to make submission?

Also since a PCC is valid for 3 months from the date of issue and if PCC submission request doesn't fall with in those 3 moths, it'd become useless instantly.!! How would one estimate the period of PCC submission which must fall with in 3 months of its issuing?

The only way out is either one submits it along with the application OR while asking, VO gives us enough time to prepare it.
Any more lead on this issue?

In Singapore, it will take about 10 working days to get PCC,therefore, there might be no problem when Our VO asks to submit PCC since here we couldn't obtain PCC before applying FSW.We have to show the documentory proof/request from VO.Otherwise PCC won't be issued. Singapore VO is fully aware of this matter.

Please note that the PCC of FBI takes about 12 weeks to have it. I suggest you submit your application without the PCC. Once you got your PER from the CIO (generally 3~4 months after application), you apply the PCC of FBI immediately. Based on the thread in this forum, the VO will ask for PCC 2~3 months after the PER issued.

Thank you all.
I am likely to get my Indian PCC by next Wednesday (10 days from now).
I think based on your replies, its best to send my Indian PCC along with other documents.
I have applied for USA PCC on Jan 21, 2011.
My credit card was billed.
The process may take up to total 12 weeks.
I will go ahead with out USA PCC.
I think that should work.

Once again thank you all.
If any more suggestions please let me know.

The question is not exactly replied I guess....at the later stage, how much time VO would give to submit PCC?
Is there are official word on this matter?

E.g if VO asks for PCC with in 10-15 days, it'd be a hard nut to crack..
