CIC website says that PCC is not required for stay in Canada until it's asked for. It lists other countries contact for PCC but not for Canada. At what point do they ask for any clearance?

They do a name check, if there is a person with a similar name and age, then they will request fingerprints to confirm if it is you or not.

Can you please reconfirm if I need to submit PCC from Canada.
Should I wait for them to ask?
 I lived in Canada frm 2004-2006. Currently I live in US.

Wow! CIC requested Canada police clearance certificate from me. There's a person with a similar name and age as me.
