hey guys,

I am trying to make the payments online. I am a Canadian citizen but I'm applying from outside Canada.
I wanted to use my father's credit card to make the payment. If I use his credit card will his information appear on the reciept that I should print?
I mean, do I have to make the payments with my own credit card? Is this the only way?
Thank for your help.

No, his information does not appear on the receipt that is printed and sent with your application.  It will be fine.

Just wanted to mention, if you are using someones credit card, you might want to pay attention to the on online fee payment page at e-xact.com services that Canadian govt uses to process fees it states below:

"Your credit card number and credit card expiry date, name and/or address are required for the purpose of processing your payment for goods or services procured on a Government of Canada website. The confidentiality of your electronic payment is maintained by using 256-bit secure socket layer (SSL) encryption. Your personal and payment information will be held in Receiver General Buy Button Personal Information Bank number: "PWGSC PPU 100" and will be retained for audit purposes for a minimum of six (6) GC fiscal years after which it will be destroyed. "

looks like they are going to hold on to account information for minimum of six ears, possibly forever for auditing purposes. Unless I'm missing something
Anyone care to comment?

Dear Azadeh,
Hi hope you are doing fine.If I were you I wouldn't do that.If it is shown in the system which we are not so confident about, it will raise a question if she is married and living with the spouse why she is still supported by his father. These things are really tricky.I am in Canada when I wanted to do the payments my lawyer specifically told me I should pay from my account or from my husband's.

The Sponsorship application took me 11 months and 1 day since I sent it to Mississauga.

Hi, I'm applying outland in China for family sponsor for my common-law partner, and because I dont have the visa card, so I will be using my brother's visa card, should that be ok too? And when filling up the visa information, they ask for the address, should I put my brother's address in Canada as I'm using his card, or should I put my address in China since I'm applying for the sponsorship? Can anyone help?

Are you a Canadian citizen? If you are a pr then you must reside in Canada. You can not use your address in china

When filling up the visa information for the online portion, they are trying to verify the credit card information is accurate.  This is different from what you actually write on the receipt that is issued.  So for your the online portion, you have to fill in the information as recorded by the credit card company, i.e. brother's name and address.  But for the receipt itself, you fill in your information.
