Hello,

I hope someone can reply real soon. I am sending the application in couple of hours.

I am in London UK and my credit card is of Barclays. I thought all payments through credit card require 3 digit security code from the back of the card but the fee payment form doesnt have any space for that.

Anyone from UK who has paid by CC and successfully charged without security code???

Would be very grateful if you respond.

Many thanks!!!

Hi - I have heard several people have had their credit card declined thorough lack of security code and had their application returned, and have had to send another form off with the number written along the side.

Therefore my advice would be to include this number on the form even though there is no space for it, just write it below the rest of the details SECURITY CODE: XYZ. Or use banker's draft (which IMO is safer than credit card anyway, since it it guaranteed to clear).

Best of luck,
Wayne.

OK good luck. Afraid I can't give any personal experience here since we paid by banker's draft rather than by credit card.

I paid my application processing fee via credit card. 3 digit security code is NOT needed.

You will be safer if you pay by bank draft (with validity for 6 months),  many people have had applications returned for credit card related problems.

Many thanks to all for responding.

I have given my credit card details finally as i didnt want to wait for another day for bank draft.

As per Wayne's suggestion I have mentioned security code on the form and hope for the best!!!!

I don't recommend giving security code over mail, we only give it for SECURE internent transactions. They do that in internet transactions to make sure it is not a fraud. But your application is a diffirent story, as it will be sent through mail; and you don't know how many people will be able to handle it. For CIO they have the authority from Visa to make transaction WITHOUT the need of security code, so why you want to give something not required, and they didn't enquire it for a reason.
