 i have applied for pr since june 2011
had an interview on June 2012
and had not received and letter from the embassy as yet
does it usually take this long for them to make a decision
has any one been through this process and could assist me with this its been over six week and no letter man this is frustrating

what VO are you dealing with.....each VO handles things differently......

i have  applied for  sponsership from april 2011 i had  interview on junnery 2012 I redo my medical  test  and  police  report 2  months  ago  and nothing as  yet...yes its long  game  weit. my visa office  is paris good luck

Paris it's quite long, so no worries.
For your peace of mind you could call them or better write them an email, usually over the phone they don't give information.

omg this is over bearing nothing have change ,i still have not received and reply for the port of spain office these people have given me the whole nine yards ,

has any one else have this experience with POS  visa office before
if so can u pleased share it with me i am curious
at my interview i was told that they are not going to make a decision on my case as yet
and they would notify me by letter now it has been seven weeks and no reply
this application i wen to cic since February 2011 so its been 17 months i have been away from my spouse unbelievable
it this how people are treated

It totally sucks.  Ya it feels like they're purposely trying to prolong the visa process, so that eventually you give up on the process and on each other. 

Try to push through though!  My husband and I keep telling ourselves, "Just a little longer".  It feels like forever!!!

TRINIGUY...have a look at my timeline with POS.  We applied in Spetember 2010, my husband is landing next week. We had to get our MP involved.

wow u have had a real tough time with pos office i see its been 13 months now since they have received my app in pos and six months before that we had applied these people are unbelievable so its been 19 months so far for me how much longer omg !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so its  been 2 months now since i did the interview and still no reply from POS.what the hell is taking so long.
what could possible be taking them so long to reply
the ecas have not change ,i email them and got some stupid reply that they cant give any information
this is ridiculous
i am telling my wife to move to Trinidad that is it i am fed up with canadian immigration and all their *censored word*.
i dont need all stress
canadian immigration sucks

 Angry Sad Why there is no deadline for the visa application? It is like they can do whatever they want without considering other's suffer.
