Passport Validity Less Than 6 Months

Hi Guys,
My Passport is getting expired on 14th September 2010 and I am expecting my Medical and PPR in the next 1 month (Approx).

My question is:
1 - If my PR gets stamped on my current passport before March 2010 (6 months before the expiry of my passport), Would I be able to enter Canada with the same passport? If not, Shall I renew my passport.

2- If I get my passport renewed, would the PR be stamped again on my Renewed Passport for me to enter Canada?

Hi,
I had the same concern and asked my Attorney David cohen's office. His office recomends that I get my Passport renewed ASAP unless I want CIC to stamp it till the validity of the passport which is till May 10 2010 and my Medicals which were completed on June 6 2009 entitles me a Immigrant visa till June 2010(one year rule).

Just a little clarification required.

Shall I renew my passport now and send the details to cic for record updating..... OR
Shall I get the visa stamped first (Coz my passport is valid till 14th Sep 2010 and even if the visa gets stamped till March, passport would be valid for 6 months)

Which one is more convenient.......and less time consuming......
Coz i do not want to waste time any further................................

I didn't know the PR status was given in your passport. It is not a separated card?...I just sent my application one month ago but my passport will expire in August 30, 2011.

If I get the PR status stamped in my passport, that will means that It'll be allowed to August 30, 2011 maximum, right?

Elar,
Initially the PR visa would be stamped on your passport after which you would be able to land and apply for PR card.....
