Passport update question

I have a question regarding my passport!

Today my wife is approved by CIC as sponsor, they forwarded our application to de visa office in Berlin (according by the email she got).

I applied for a new passport during the waiting. Now I want to update my bio page of my passport to get included in the application what is going to the Berlin visa office.
How will I know that our application is received at the Berlin visa office, so I can fax or email the new bio page update to that visa office?

Check your eCAS status.  When it changes to "Application Received" your application is in Berlin and you can send the new passport information to them at that time.  It takes about 10-14 days (in most cases) after the sponsor is approved, for the embassy to receive the file.

Hi you also need to update the CIC Canada, ask your sponsor to send it to Mississauga along with your file number you need to update them first.  I am in the same situation I will re-new my passport this December and my husband was advised by CIC to do such, hope it helps.
