passport submission timeframe
«

HI all,
I am very hopeful to recieve a letter from new Delhi for my husband to submit his passport soon. MY question is once we receive the letter, how soon do we have to submit the passport, is there a time-range given within which we have to submit the passport such as 30 days, 60 days or so.
Thanks
Soni

Yes, you have a set number of days to submit it. It's often 30 or 60 days, I'm not sure how much it is for New Delhi.

We applied through New Delhi. My husband's passport request letter said that he needed to submit his passport within 30 from the date of the letter. He lived in New Delhi though. Maybe they give you longer if you are elsewhere in India? No idea.
