Passport request through text message

Anybody here received their passport request through text? i received mine yesterday but was confuse why it came from canadavisa requesting my passport and failure to provide my passport will result in cancellation of my application.i am just confuse about the sender...canadavisa. our passport request should come from the immigration right? does anybody here who have the same condition as mine? Godbless us all.

Hi.I already received a reply from the embassy.It's genuine text coming from the Canadian Embassy,. No worries at all
