Passport request

Hi Guru's / Seniors,

I have been requested to submit passport with 2 photographs for each family members. My application is with Buffalo, NY.

Do i need to submit my New and Old(Expired) Passport both or just the New(Current) passport for each family member.

I am confused, i have read a few forums, where i got mixed answers.

I want to be carefull after a long wait.

Guru's , please advise.

No problem dear. I had the same situation. Submit only new passport (original) along with copy of old passport and a letter explaning the status

Copy of Old Passport? you mean take copies of each page of old passport.
What letter is required for status?

No..just the page that contains your info like name, passport number, id number, expiry date etc etc. thats it

For letter, just explain why u have submitted new passports. No standard format.

why take a chance; submit all. i did the the same.

Didn't you inform VO when you got new passport(s)? If not, please submit copy of old passports with new passports with a cover letter explaining the change.

submitted passports end of Jan... still waiting... but i shud tell you this.... my daughter has a new passport with the UAE residence visa and thats the one that i've sent to London VO, i have not attached her old passport copy which i had provided at the time of filing in 2007, she received her new passport in 2008. 

but it clearly states on the last page of her new passport the following:

old passport number, expiry date, it also says canceled and ppt returned. 

I guess thats enough for them and not a copy of the old passport which they already have in their records.  i haven't heard from the LVO as yet.  if i get my passports with visas will keep you posted.  If they had to inform me about sending the old one, i guess they would have done that by now. Its more than two weeks since the LVO has received our passports.

I am going to submit my new and old passport. I going to attach a note for the height, color of the eyes.
I have the date printed on the back side of the photo. Do we also have write the name on the back side of the photograph.
