Hi,
This is cross-posted from the general board- figured I might get a better response here. My file was transferred to NYC, so I'm assuming that's where the passport request will come from. Just wondering if, when I get the request, I can hand-deliver my passport. I frequently need to travel back and forth between the States and Canada, and it would be a major inconvenience to be without a passport for weeks on end, if I have to mail it in.

Also, how fast is the turnaround if I hand deliver it (i.e. can someone stamp it that day? Or do I drop it off and they mail it back?).

Thanks,

Alex

You cannot have your passport hand-delivered. It has to be sent through post mail - for NYC office.

Hi,

I got the request from New York for passport. Only method of getting passport stamped is mail/courier and they only mail it back to USA Canada Bermuda.

I am currently in UK so have been looking into this. I think i will have to fly to Canada and then mail to New York and wait for 30 business days for them to send it back.

Hope this is of some use,

You can have some friends here in US/Can do it for you. I believe there are kinds of service which handle those important documents for you Smiley.

Can you recommend any good company in the USA specialize in visa / passports services?

I found some on Google. But if you could give me the name of one that you used?
