Hello everybody,

The Canadian Embassy here in Manila called me last thursday (March 19, 09) to have my passport returned back to their office. I already submitted all the necessary documents before. How long should I wait for the next correspondence from them  since they already asked for my passport? I sent back my passport on the same day they called me.

BTW, Im a provincial nominee of BC.

Thank you very much!

Hi breech,

My husband had been nominated as a BC provincial nominee last April ,2009. He is a Filipino. Right now he is preparing his application for permanent residence. By the way, he is in BC right now working, while i am here in the Philippines. Im just helping him out because we have so many questioons regarding his PR application. I hope you can enlighten us with the following questions:

1. Where to send his applications? We heard it should be sent to Manila Canadian Embassy since he is a Filipino. We are not sure though.

2. What documents should be attached?

3. Do you know any checklist for his PR application?

4. Does he need any proof of funds, since me and my two kids are included in his application?

5. Does he need to take language proficiency exam?

6. How long did you have to wait before they requested for your medical exam?

Thank you so much.Hope you can answer my querries ASAp coz our police clearance from Taiwan will expire soon.( we were employed in Taiwan before)

God bless on your application.

tess,

Hi, Hope I can help you....

Answers:

1.   You will send his application to Canadian Embassy Manila.
2.   I'm sure that he received a letter from embassy and the list of documents to be
send to embassy included on the letter. (like forms to be fill-up, notarized photo-
copy of all your birth certificates, marriage contract and PR Fee.
3.   Checklist for the documents need to be send to embassy are included on the letter
he received saying he need to apply for PR.
4.   Yes, he need proof of funds.
5.   Im not so sure if he need.
6.   After you sent all the documents, wait 1~2 months for you medical request letter.

hi Josh and BC Guy,

Thank you so much for your answers.I will call my husband and discuss these things with him.

A friend of mine sent me this link http://www.cic.gc.ca/EnGlish/pdf/kits/guides/E37025.pdf. she said this is a checklist for skilled worker provincial nominee. I'm not sure if he falls under this category since his initial application in BC PNP was under the  Pilot Program: Strategic Occupation.

Based on this link ( im not sure if this is the right one for him),there is no need to provide proof of funds and language proficiency.Although, i have doubts because as i said, we are included in his application.

BC Guy, i'm not really sure where to look regarding my queries. you mentioned that almost everything is available on BC PNP website. Could you please send me the site/link. Ive visited that site several times,,didnt find something that would answer questions i posted earlier. thank you so much for your time for the the info.

tess,

Try to ask a copy of the letter to your husband. The website where you can find all the forms you need, checklist and the fees is stated also on the letter.

Good Luck...
