Passport request and Applicant background information

Hey Guys ,As per CIC request I have submitted all required documents and my case is in final stateges and wating for passport request .Couple of days before I asked CIC about my passport request and in repply they send me the following messege. Did any one of you get the same type of email responce.


CIC responce "We have requested background information from other government offices(s). Unfortunately, we cannot provide a date when the processing of your application will be complete."

How long have you been wating and whats your nationality?

PCC/RPRF: 16th June
since then waiting.

I'm on the same boat waiting for PPR since June.
Wondering if your file has been transferred or not? (if yes, where....NY/LA). And based on your comments that it is a standard email reply regarding about the background information; Did you email CIC and get the same respond or it's simply your opinion?
