Passport renewal

Hi,

               I got my initial approval from cio, i am about to submit my full application to chc newdelhi,  but my passporty is expiring during the last week of september, can i send my application to the visa office now and then renew the passport  and update them, orelse do the renewal and then send the application, seniors kindly advice me.

I did the same thing. I applied to CHC and then renewal of my passports. I will be sending both passports attached.

I hope it should not make any difference as long as old passport is attached.

Hi,

I suggest you to renew the passport and then sent the full apllication. If your passport is getting expired and visa is stamped the validity will be till the date of expiry of passport.

          This guy is just planning to send his full docs to CHC dELHI. do you know anyone in chc delhi who can give him visa in 3 months. So think and give a reply.

Thank you guys, for ur inputs, does the passport office give back the old passports. i heard that we will get new passport number.

i am currently in the US but was in the same situation when I submitted my full application.  I submitted my full application with the copy of my passport (the one near expiry).  BUT what i did was I made a cover letter informing the visa office that I am planning renew my passport and will send them as soon as I have it done.

After a month of submitting my full application, I got my renewed passport and sent it to the visa office.  So far, so good. I just had my medical examination last week.

Dear Shibu,

Take it easy. Dont over react it. He has 120 days for documents submission. If you give the passport for renewal it will take 2 months, if i m not wrong.

I did the same as SkilledPro.

But since you just received your letter from CIO, I guess you still have time to renew your passport. Have your passport renewed, and submit it as soon as it is available. Remember to write a cover letter that you are updating your passport, and to provide a photocopy of your latest passport.
