Hello All
Came across this website last night and I'm hooked ever since !!
Great help and advice.

So, my question.
Background First
My husband applied to Sponsor me in June 2011. I applied for perm residence and an open work permit.
We applied inland.
My problem is I lost my original passport. I sent a copy of my new one. Also I sent the copies of all the flights I used to come here.
I had a work permit until May 2011. I am now on paternity leave as I had a baby boy in august.
Sorry for the long winded story.
We haven't heard anything yet. I have checked online using mt client I'd but they haven't even looked at our application.
So, my question........do you think they will accept my application with my new passport and flight information. My workpermit has my original passport number on it.
I'm starting to stress about it.
Thanks in advance

I'm not totally sure, but I don't think this will be a problem at all. People get replacement passports all the time, as long as you have corroborating evidence of what was in your passport I do not see why you would have a problem. I'm sure lots of people send in "brand new" passports, as you have to ensure that the passport will not expire before you can land, as far as I understand it.

There should be no reason to worry whatsoever.  The fact they have not even looked at your application is normal.  If you are applying inland, it will take 9 to 10 months for them to even open the file to look at it....that would be why you are not seeing anything on ecas...
