My wife and I live in Canada, and have submitted an outland application for her PR.

My wife would like to return to Japan to visit with an ailing relative. If we receive the request from the visa office for her passport while she is still in-country in Japan, she will submit the passport from within Japan (obviously). Can the passport be mailed back to her family's address inside Japan (where she'll be staying), or must it be mailed to the address on our application?

Thanks,

Not sure how Tokyo works, but I've seen cases where the PP was sent in accompanied by a pre-paid courier envelope for the return, and of course the PP was sent back to whatever address was placed on the prepaid envelope.

A fine tip. As usual! 8^D
