No sign of our passports. I sent them a case specific inquiry twice and still no reply. Im at a lost on what to do.

I should have flown to LA to get visa stamped.  The waiting game bears so much pain.

Let's be patient for another week or two.  I recall one person just got his passport back from LA last week with visa stamped in the fifth week and passport returned in the six week.

I sent a case specific inquiry yesterday and got response today from LA.  Let's sit tight for another couple of weeks.  See below.


Dear Client ,

We have received your passports, right of permanent residence fee and photos. Your file is queued for review by the immigration officers. We would not be able to finalize your case on the usual 15 days we stated on our letter. After review, your passports  and immigration documents will be returned to you via pre-paid envelope if you have provided one, or by certified or registered mail.

Please advise if you need your passports(s) and we will return them to you.  You can resubmit your passport(s) after 31 March 2011.

Wow! What did you say in your email? Did you tell them that you need your passport/s? I also sent them a case specific email ysterday looking for an update but they have not reply to me yet. I wonder did you email them back? I've been waiting for almost 2 months now. I guess we will just have to wait. By the way did you include a prepaid envelope with your passports? If  you did, what company did you use? The reason I asked is because I know somebody who included a prepaid envelope but his passport was sent via us postal system registerd mail. I will let you know what  they say if and when they will reply to me.

I just wrote to them to check my case status since it has been over 15 bussiness day they stated, and my concern of lost mail as well if they have sent it out.  I didn't ask for passport and didn't email back too because I don't need passport now.  I think LA is really slow for visa stamping for some unkonw reason.

I did provide prepaid return envelope (USPS certified priority mail, I reside in US).  Yes, lost mail is my concern.  I hope they don't put passport in a regular mail.  I will let you know if there is any progress on my side.

My ecase status has changed to Decision Made this morning.  Hope that is a good sign for LA waiting people.

i applied  a new passport it takes a month for a new passport..once i get it ,,then my uncle will go to detroit personally and get stamped on it

Paul,
   Did the passport eventually route back to you? I am going thru similar thing. I am on my 6th week of waiting time. CIC Buffalo states that they sent out my passport with First class to my Vancouver address, but I am in US. I included a prepaid USPS envelope which CIC didn't use.
