hey guys ,,detroit mailed my passport on 31st jan via regular mail,,,, and i haven't recieved yet,,wht should i do now,,should make a new one or still wait more couple of dayss,,,plz advice me

How do you know that the passport was mailed on Jan 31st? Do send an inquiry to Detroit and request any confirmation of the mail that was sent out. Good luck |

I had order something online from California and it tool more than 3 weeks to get to me and i am living at Vancouver area too.
It was regular mail.

If I were you, I would wait until the end of this week, then I am going to send another email to CIC to ask them if I can get a new passport and get the visa again.

I assure you this is NOT the end of the world. It takes 4-6 weeks to get you (after they have dropped it in the Out-going mail)..So if it took 2 weeks for them to process it then - 8 weeks. |

And if you are in Canada, then you were NOT suppose to include a fedEx envelope. You were suppose to include a XPress mail. I am not sue if you are not in Canada. |

Hi paul, sorry to read about the situation you are in right now. If you sent a case specific enquiry, wait a few more days for their reply. If by next week, you have not received either a reply or your passport in the mail, send another enquiry. It really takes awhile before mail from the US arrives. sept15, visa offices have different instructions for sending the passports for visa stamping. For instance, with Buffalo you have the option to send PP via courier and send prepaid courier envelope and you use their mailing address in Buffalo. You can also use Canadapost's expresspost and mail your PP to their PO Box in Fort Erie, ON, then enclose a prepaid expresspost envelope for the return of you passport. For LA, what we did was send our PPs by fedex and enclosed a fedex prepaid envelope as well because that was the instruction in the PPR. so I guess paul also received the same instructions as me from Detroit that's why he used fedex. CORRECTION: We used a Fedex prepaid shipping label.  Good luck everyone! |

i am really tensed my status changed to decision made on 8 February . do u think it gets lost through regular mail.
what do u think i should do.
